mini walnut cruiser
This mini cruiser was one of my favorite builds. The customer wanted a classic, timeless look, so we went with black veneer accents and black trucks, and the orange @ojwheels add some color.
Two things I’m especially proud of on this one:
🔧 Wheel wells: After years of shaping these by hand, I finally built a jig that gets them dialed in and consistent every time.
🪵 The finish: I tried an oil-based wipe-on poly this time, which really brings out the grain in the walnut.
These boards are always a slow build and that’s on purpose. Wood has a lot of character that comes alive when you work it by hand.
